Kevin Salwen is a former reporter and editor at The Wall Street Journal and has co-authored two distinct yet equally compelling books. His first book, The Power of Half: One Family’s Decision to Stop Taking and Start Giving Back, narrates the inspiring story of his family's decision to sell their home and donate half the proceeds to aid a village in Ghana, a move prompted by his then 14-year-old daughter.
His most recent work is titled The Suspect: An Olympic Bombing, the FBI, the Media, and Richard Jewell, the Man Caught in the Middle. This book offers a riveting account of the 1996 Olympic bombing in Atlanta, highlighting both the heroism of Richard Jewell and the subsequent turmoil after the FBI incorrectly named him as a suspect.
Kevin is not only a successful author but also an alumnus of Northwestern University. His commitment to community service is evident in his roles as the former board chair of Year Up Atlanta and a 12-year board member of Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.
