1) "fealty to the orthodoxy of non-judgment" As an extremely judgmental person, I feel the need to comment on how much the world does NOT like this and will tell you behaving this way is obnoxious, cynical, and negative.
2) "dangerous assumptions based on the wildly incomplete data of discernible identity" The (extreme) benefit of identity-based thinking is that it's EASY. Knowing someone's background, childhood, and economic background requires research and communication. The alternative happens in a snap. Given that we live in an attention economy, don't undersell the value inherent in whichever approach is FASTER.
Basically, you're really swimming upstream if you try to articulate anti-"luxury belief" views anywhere besides Substack and places where people say the word "heterodox" a lot.
